No More Meetings This Year Enjoy the Holidays; Next Meeting January 10We hope to send you a bulletin each week during this holiday season - to remind you of what's coming up in the New Year. For now, enjoy your holidays and consider: - Helping this Tuesday, December 17, with prepping the books we will give to each and every Kingsley Elementary student as they depart for their school break
- Joining the Bardens for a special wine fellowship gathering on Sunday, January 5 featuring Gluhwein, Europe's favored hot mulled wine
- Thinking about becoming a GRSP Leadership weekend host family or volunteer - February 14-16
- Helping Rick Woods identify potential host families for the Rotary Youth Exchange high school student who will join us some time next summer for the 2025-26 school year
You'll find information on all this and more in the stories below. January 6-11, 2025 Join Georgia Rotary for a Week of Service Teams of volunteers from all three Rotary Districts in Georgia will be headed to the Augusta area or up to Western North Carolina to assist with disaster recovery the week of January 6 through January 11. We will clearing debris from yards or removing storm damaged contents from houses. There is plenty of work for all skill levels. Feel free to come for a day or stay for the whole week. Fill out this quick form to let us know when and where you can help. We will be in touch with more details about accommodations and travel to each area as we fill out the teams. Thank you for volunteering to help! [read more] Rotary Youth Exchange Help: Host Families Needed for 2025-27 So yes, it's the beginning of winter, so why are we talking about Rotary Youth Exchange host families starting next summer and spanning the 2025-26 school year? Because sometimes it takes time to identify and prepare those families for the important role they will take in the Rotary Youth Exchange program - one of Rotary's oldest and most popular programs providing high school students with a year of study abroad. We are looking for three host families in the Dunwoody High School area to open their homes to our student for about 90 days each. Host families can be Rotarians or not. Read more about the program and then call Rick Woods if you have questions or you'd like to help enlist a neighbor, a coworker, a family member in the DHS community. We have learned it's never too early to get started.

Membership Keep the Membership Growing! We're excited to welcome four new members to our Rotary
club! Dave Burr led an orientation session for Peter Sherman, Michael Starling,
Mike Carlsen, and David Cesar. President Louise shared insights on RI, the
Foundation, and GRSP, and Alison outlined different ways for new members to get
involved. We look forward to their contributions!
And remember, we're looking to all of you as part of the membership committee to help identify potential new members! Let's keep growing!
