No Meeting This Friday
Join Us for Thirsty Thursday (10/16) at CT Cantina and Taqueria

Join your Dunwoody Family of Rotary tomorrow night (Thursday, October 16) for fun, food and fellowship at CT Cantina and Taqueria, located at 244 Perimeter Center Parkway NE, Suite 1 in Dunwoody. The website calls it "more than a restaurant - the culmination of a journey that began decades ago with a dream, relentless work ethic and a foundation of authentic Mexican cuisine."

The fun starts at 5:30 pm and will run until 7ish!

Whiskey Raffle Update
Sell Tickets and Join Us for Whiskey Tasting!

This is your weekly update on the Whiskey Raffle… and we’re now in the throes of ticket sales! We’ve done a great job establishing a robust prize pool… now over 10 prizes! This means every single ticket has a better than 1% chance of winning a prize. We’re now better off than the GA lottery! And there's a 100% chance that every dollar we raise will help us do good in the community.

This year, the price is $25/ticket or a bulk deal of 5 tickets for $100. There are a maximum 1,000 tickets available. Visit whiskey-raffle.com and send your friends (especially those that love whiskey and/or a good cause)!

The raffle is live and tickets are now available and being sold! A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be available for purchase. As of late Monday, we’ve sold 84 tickets and we’re just getting going! And we’re doing some things to make this easier!

We have established whiskey tasting events to help drum up support for the raffle. These events will feature whiskey donated by the particular brands and are open to the public. We’ll make a pitch for the Dunwoody Rotary and the raffle at the end. It’s a great thing to tell your whiskey-drinking friends and colleagues!

The first tasting is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th, at 4:00pm. In Politan Row at Ashford Lane. It features whiskey from Willett Distillery and is sponsored by Savannah Distributors … totally free to anyone who wants to attend! This is a great way to help sell raffle tickets: we hope it’s much more fun to invite people to a free whiskey tasting than it is to badger them into buying a raffle ticket. (Though there’s nothing wrong with badgering!).

We will share the RSVP link in next week's bulletin.

Save the Dates!
Next Week: Learn About The Sandwich Project Then Volunteer

Next Friday (October 24) we will be learning about The Sandwich Project, dedicated to addressing food insecurity in the metro Atlanta/Athens area. By employing a network of dedicated volunteers, TSP creates and delivers fresh, homemade sandwiches to individuals in need. Then you'll have a unique opportunity to put what you learned into action, as Meghan Berry hosts a sandwich-making event at her home on Sunday, October 26.

Meghan is inviting Rotarians and their partners to her home at 3 pm that Sunday to make 200 sandwiches to donate to The Sandwich Project. TSP will then get these sandwiches to area nonprofit partners who serve children and families who are food insecure.

The event takes place at 5101 Vernon Ridge Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338

Save the Date!
We Want YOU for the USO on October 30

Thursday October 30, 2025 will be Rotary Club of Dunwoody USO Volunteer Day. We will serve our service personnel and family members an “All American” lunch of hot dogs with all the condiments, potato chips, fresh fruit, snack bars, home baked cookies, bottled water AND a portion of baked Ziti & Mom’s meatball.  We need you - to work that day at the USO and/or bake cookies for our military personnel. Please contact Charlie Augello at Italian@e48stmarket.com if you would like to be a volunteer or be a cookie baker.  [read more]
