[more] Governors Ball on March 28 "Party Ardy" Is Counting On You
Bring your friends and join President Elect Ardy Bastien (aka "Party Ardy") for a night of fun and fellowship at the Dunwoody Country Club! The theme is Mardi Gras - and we'd love to see you sporting Mardi Gras costumes or masks. And, according to Marion Bunch, we'll all want to dance the night away to the music of the Flavor Band and Big Band! We're returning this year to the Dunwoody Country Club - an awesome place to party. And of course, it's all in the spirit of raising money to fund our good work in the community and around the world! Don't miss out - register now if you haven't already at https://www.dunwoodyrotary.org/reservation/create?... The cost is $250 per couple; most members of the club have already paid for a couple as part of their dues. If you need help with your RSVP or purchasing guest tickets, contact Michael Parks at mbparks@aol.com. And while the Governor's Ball is on your mind, think about: - buying raffle tickets (the odds are good for private box seat tickets at the State Farm Arena for Harry Styles on July 29)
- reaching out to your friends who love fishing (there's an amazing Pensacola sports fishing package in the live auction)
- checking out the rest of our auction items at rcdgovernorsball.com
- thinking about what you or the local businesses you support might be able to donate to our live or silent auctions.
We're less than four weeks from Partying for a Cause! See more at rcdgovernorsball.com Next Week's Gathering DeKalb Rotary Council Breakfast Features David Lee Windecher
Next Friday, March 20 join DeKalb Rotary Council Rotarians at the CAC Center in Decatur for breakfast at 7:00 am (no meeting at Fleming's) at 7:00 am. The featured speaker that morning is David Lee Windecher. David spoke at our club earlier this Rotary year; He’s led an unbelievable life and is doing big things in criminal justice reform. He wrote a great autobiography - "The American Dream: HisStory in the Making" - and they are making a movie out of his life. If you missed hearing him speak at Dunwoody, don't miss him at the DeKalb Rotary Council breakfast.
There are more good reasons to attend the Council breakfast: 1) we will honor Teachers of the Year for each of the Council's clubs, 2) each club will honor a Rotarian with the Show Rotary Cares that's presented in honor of our own PDG Bill Mulkey, and 3) the Council will honor one Rotarian with the You Are the Key award in honor of PDG Bob Grant from Stone Mountain, who was also an honorary Dunwoody member.
This year the meeting will be held at The CAC Center, 4522 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, Ga 30034.
