Shannon Morris, Director of Spruill Gallery

Join us this Friday at LeMeridien as we welcome Shannon Morris, Director of Spruill Gallery, In that position, she supports the 150-year history of the Spruill Center for the Arts by exhibiting the works of contemporary artists and the artworks created by the Spruill Education Center students of all ages.
Morris is a visual arts curator and cultural writer specializing in globally relevant topics. She engages audiences in academic, public, and corporate settings within the United States and Europe.
She holds
M.A. in Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She pursues
professional studies through Christie’s Education- an internationally
recognized center of academic excellence for the study of arts. Morris serves
as Principal of “the curator’s studio, LLC” and a Member of the International
Society of Appraisers.
Service Opportunity: FODAC
It's Here ... Your Opportunity for Service and Fellowship This Saturday, 8/5

This amazing service project is just days away. Join us to help the DeKalb Rotary Council's annual FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults and Children) equipment drive. Dave Burr is leading the effort for Dunwoody - let him know if you can help. There are two opportunities:
- Donate Home Medical Equipment: FODAC is looking for Manual & Electric Wheelchairs (including footrests), Scooters, Standers, Adaptive Strollers, Corner chairs, Gait trainers, Rollators, Shower supports, Toilet supports, Therapy aides, Specialized mattresses (no regular mattresses), Walkers, Canes, Crutches, & Forearm Crutches, Bathing aids, Braces, Air casts, Hoyer lifts, Hospital beds … items can be taken to the 57th Fighter Group Restaurant on the day of collection – or pick-up can be scheduled with a call a few days before the event.
- Volunteer to Help with Pick-Up: We need trucks, trailers and volunteers to help collect donations on Saturday, August 5! The group will meet at 8:30 AM on the back patio of the 57th Restaurant (next to PDK Airport on Clairmont Road in Chamblee for breakfast and socializing before heading out to pick up equipment at 9 or 9:30. We are usually done between 1 and 2.
Over the years, this project has collected approximately
$1,800,000 worth of durable medical equipment from local residents and
businesses in the metro Atlanta area that is refurbished and redistributed to
those in need in our community by FODAC.
