Keep the Celebration Going at Dunwoody 4th of July arade!

Uncle Sam ran the parade race in 2011 - celebrating our nation's birthday and our signature fundraiser of the day - RunDunwoody. Poor guy got caught in a rainstorm on the way to shelter after the parade was over, but he proudly represented the Rotary Club of Dunwoody in the parade. Now it's your turn!

Have you ever stood along the crowded streets of Dunwoody on Independence Day, watched the vibrant parade roll by, and thought, “I wonder who builds those floats?” or “How can I be a part of that magic?"  Now is your opportunity! The Rotary Club of Dunwoody is carrying out a fun-filled, 30+ year club tradition of celebrating the new Rotary year at one of Dunwoody's largest community events! We need every hand on deck to make this year’s participation an overwhelming success. This year, our impact is bigger than ever: RCD is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the City of Dunwoody’s Fourth of July Parade. To honor this commitment and showcase our vibrant club to the community, we need a strong, enthusiastic showing of volunteers.

Quick Details at a Glance:

  • Float Building & Social: Sunday, June 28 (Late Afternoon)
  • Dunwoody 4th of July Parade: Saturday, July 4 at 9:00 AM Sharp (Staging at the corner of Jett Ferry & Mt. Vernon Highway). Wear your Rotary shirt and comfortable walking shoes.
  • Hot Dog Stand & Bake Sale: Saturday, July 4 (Post-Parade) @ End of the Parade Route in Dunwoody Village

Check out the details, then contact Dave Burr to let him know how you'd like to help! We'd love to see everyone participate!

Wine Fellowship
Join Us for a Mid-Summer Wine Fellowship

Marion and Austin Bunch are inviting us to gather at their home amidst their balcony garden for a mid-summer Wine Fellowship on Sunday, July 12 from 4-6 pm. The Bunches will provide soft drinks and a fresh shrimp platter.  Guests should bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. We had such a large crowd last year that our table was filled with the best appetizers you can imagine! The event will take place at PLAZA TOWERS, 2575 Peachtree Rd. NE, unit 20 E, Atlanta. The building has a wide driveway and we will have valet service. It commands an amazing view of Atlanta, the perfect setting for fellowship with friends. Please let Marion know if you will be coming - by email rffa.org@gmail.com or phone at 678 296 8951.

Dunwoody Diners
Les Miserables Alert - September 26!

As you read this, the Dunwoody Diners are getting ready to see "In the Heights" this Saturday night, June 13, at the Aurora Theater in Lawrenceville. We'd like to share our next "dinner and a show" event - as we plan to attend a performance of “Les Miserables” at the Byers Theater in the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center on September 26, 2026. As always, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PURCHASING YOUR OWN TICKETS and we suggest purchasing as soon as possible if you'd like to join us, as this is one of the world's most popular musicals. The address of the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.

The Diners will be meeting ahead of the theater at Aldo’s Italian Restaurant (6690 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, GA 30328) at 5:30 pm.
